Portraits of Youth and

Childrens' Portraits

Inger drew and painted many children when her own children were young, 1966-1984. These portraits were fast and done from life.

With the sightsize method, Florence 1984-1986, the process was slowed down, and the stillness of the sitter became imperative.

Inger only started drawing and painting children again, when she allowed herself to use photographs along with the sittings.

Often portraits are commissioned to boost the child's esteem. Inger is all for that. She feels that all people are beautiful, and the children are to her, beyond beauty-sublime.
